GOAL 1
FCCC shall increase the level of Leadership Development and increase the opportunities for growth and service

FCCC shall strive to build a community of caring believers by offering a variety of social and spiritual programs that will benefit our community

FCCC shall increase the level of Leadership Development and increase the opportunities for growth and service
OBJECTIVES:
- By having the Board, Council and Committee members attend the Leadership Training to be conducted each year.
- By having one Board, one Council, one Committee member join the Pastor in the BGC Annual Conference or any association-related and/or sponsored Meeting. The objective of attending the meeting is to enhance the spiritual growth of the leaders and develop a strong working relationship with other pastors, workers and churches in the association.
- By having the Board, Council and Committee members attend the Evangelism & Discipleship training seminars conducted annually. This, to enhance their spiritual growth and service.
- By having the council develop a purchasing policy that aligns our church’s purchasing habits with God’s stewardship principles. This, in order to establish and develop, among the leaders and church membership, a healthy attitude towards handling God’s financial resources.
- By having committees develop a plan for succession of church leadership.
GOAL 2
FCCC shall strive to build a community of caring believers by offering a variety of social and spiritual programs that will benefit our community
OBJECTIVES:
- By offering a variety adult education programs aimed at interests gained through a survey of the congregation.
- By offering family programs designed to build community among the church families every other month.
- By offering two programs a year designed around a social awareness issue so that socialization and raising awareness are involved.
- By offering programs designed to help members develop ministry skills, offered once in the fall and again in the spring.
- By developing inter-church activities which pair our youth groups with other youth in the area in social and social justice events at least three times a year.
- By inviting all youth 14 and older to participate in any church-wide decision-making process. The youth will be encouraged to attend town meetings and give input to congregational issues either in an adult forum or within their youth group meetings. Furthermore, youth, 14 and older, will be encouraged to attend fundraiser events.
- By developing a program that turns new members into active members by using methods to include but not limited to a mentoring/discipleship program.
GOAL 3
FCCC shall increase the richness and value of the Members’ and Friends’ church experience
OBJECTIVES:
- By increasing music in the Sunday services beyond the customary congregational hymns, prelude, offertory interlude and postlude. To have at least one special vocal and/or instrumental piece, once or twice each month.
- By reacting to analysis of telephone, e-mail or postal mail “interviews” of Members and Friends who have become inactive, those analysis having been reported to the Council and the Board each year (month of June?) with recommendations.
- By reacting to surveys each year (month of June?) of Members’ and Friends’ “satisfaction” with the Church and their comments, summaries of those surveys ad comments having been reported to the Council and Board by the end of each year (month of June?) with recommendations.
- By developing a committee of Council members to evaluate yearly progress made on the goals and objectives as written in the 5 year plan. This report being summarized and recommendations given at the Board/Council Retreat each year (month of June?).
- By maintaining a safe physical environment through meetings such as: health, safety and fire codes yearly. A plan for meeting these codes shall be included in yearly maintenance
FCCC shall assume a more visible and influential role in our immediate community
OBJECTIVES:
- By hosting at least 2 events (e.g. rummage sale, feeding program, family camp, concert, etc.) each year during spring and fall specifically designed to promote and attract the community and those who are not yet necessarily familiar with our Church.
- By increasing participation in public events that support identified community needs and increasing donations to community resource organizations that provide for individuals in the community.
- By developing an inter-church cluster program among the Northern California BGC and other evangelical churches in the Bay area.
GOAL 5
FCCC shall increase the number of church membership by 10% each year
OBJECTIVES:
- Gather church officers and leaders for a monthly “Day of Prayer”.
- Establish 5 home Bible studies each year.
- Baptized 20 believers each year.
- Train and equip 2 Preaching Deacons each year.
- Conduct “musical” services every quarter.
